Chitter.im is no more!
As of Dec 2013, Chitter.im is no more. You can still see the source code at github.
Famous Quotes at Your Service
You want to tweet something but out of ideas? Chitter.im can help you about that. A new feature has been released today. Now, you can send quotes, fortunes, anecdotes, and quips by simply using /quote command (e.g. /quote bart simpson).
Don't forget to check out the available categories for /quote command at I ♥ Quotes . Any category name can be used with /quote command (e.g. bart simpson, albert einstein, science, literature, love).

Using Chitter.im from Empathy
Some Gtalk clients like Empathy, has its own interpretation for commands starting with slash (/). For that reason, Chitter.im bot also supports receiving commands starting with dot (.) instead of slash (/) (i.e. .t is same as /t).
Automatic URL Shortening
Chitter.im bot has now the ability to shorten your URLs automatically. You can simply write a long url within your tweets at Chitter.im bot (e.g. /t wow, what a great site http://cs.bilkent.edu.tr/~cansin ), and the bot will shorten this URL using bit.ly (e.g. wow, what a great site http://bit.ly/aqLYqZ ). It is that simple.
